SurvivorsGuide preserves practical knowledge that people can understand, use and pass on.

A project of Awake Foundation LLC, the library draws inspiration from the Whole Earth Catalog’s broad approach to tools, skills and independent learning. Its 36 departments and 247 topic sections connect household needs, craft, science, community cooperation, public institutions and living traditions.

What readers will find

The guides offer original explanations, planning worksheets, checklists and links to public resources. Historical references are identified as historical. Contemporary resources retain their dates, geographic scope, access conditions and limitations.

A library that can be corrected

The project maintains research records and preserved source evidence so that later editors can trace changes and improve the guides. Publication does not settle every question or replace individual professional guidance. Readers can help by identifying a specific passage and providing a dated original source.

The wider project

Insurance-focused research is routed to VictimsGuide and the broader Awake Foundation network. The five routing-only insurance entries are labeled as referrals.
